Unexpected but welcomed surprises

Today is a great day for me and I hope it has been great for you too. You see, for the past many weeks I have been hoping for something. I found myself in a bit of a predicament and needed a way out. And today is the day that that way made itself known.
I didn’t expect a resolution to my problem just yet, as I hadn’t really been doing anything to resolve it. It’s not that I didn’t want to. I just couldn’t find the motivation. Every time I thought about the problem, I knew what I had to do to get past it but I just couldn’t find the energy to do it.
Sadly though my procrastination and lack of motivation were starting to catch up with me. My situation was worsening … more precisely, my situation would become very dire over the next few months if I didn’t take appropriate action. So last night I got to writing. I started pencilling out what I needed to do and what my options were. These were not the most complete set of plans but at least I was taking action.
Skip to this morning when I got a call which, if all things go well, could be the start of things working themselves out. You can’t imagine my elation because this call is right on time. And when I say right on time, believe me, a few days later and I would have been in full-blown panic mode!
People often say that nothing happens before its time, and while I am not the biggest believer in pre-determined futures, I can’t help but feel like this was bigger than me … diving timing? Maybe. The Universe conspiring to help me get things back on track? Possibly. What I needed, when I most needed it? Definitely!! And I am immensely grateful.
